IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- There will be NO refunds for players after our Regular Registration Deadlines.
- In-House schedule: All in-house games will be played on Sundays. PRE-K and U6 will play at 10:00am. U8 Girls & Boys will play at 11:30am.
- Practices: schedules for U8 and travel teams are at the discretion of the coach.
- If the season is canceled for reasons beyond the league’s control a full refund is not guaranteed.
- Coaches – Please register to coach your child’s team! Our league simply cannot function without our amazing volunteer coaches. Your time and commitment make it possible for our players to get out on the field, learn the game, build confidence, and—most importantly—have fun! No experience needed. SYSL will provide the support and resources you need to get started. Please register as a coach when completing your player’s registration. We truly appreciate everyone who volunteers their time to make SYSL possible!
- Notes Section – If you have any special requests or additional information you would like us to consider, please be sure to include it in the Notes Section during the registration process. Examples may include requests for a specific coach, teammates, or other team placement considerations. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, they are not guaranteed and are subject to roster availability.
- Waitlist Guidelines - Once a team reaches its maximum roster size, additional registrations will be placed on a waitlist. Being added to the waitlist does not guarantee a spot on a team or roster. Players will be contacted if a roster spot becomes available or if enough players register to form an additional team. Team placement is not guaranteed and will depend on roster availability, team formation, and coach availability. If a player on the waitlist is not placed on a roster, a full refund of the registration fee and any applicable late fees will be provided.

The U.S. Youth Soccer age group system is transitioning from a calendar-year format (January 1–December 31) to a school-year model (August 1–July 31). This change has been mandated by U.S. Soccer and adopted by organizations such as US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer, and consequently Mass Youth Soccer and member organizations such as the South Shore Soccer League. The goal is to better align soccer teams with academic grade levels.

Registration Fees
Travel League
- Grades U10 & U12 - $165
- Grades U14 - $185
In-House League:
- PreK - $90
- U6 & U8 - $130
Late Fees
- Late Fee - $30 (applies to registration for each player after 10/23/26 for travel and in-house)
- Post Registration Late Fee - $50 (applies to registration for each player after 11/6/26 for travel and 2/5/27 for in-house)
- Family Maximum - $340 (The maximum is only applied when children are signed up at the same time. Your invoice will be adjusted automatically before checkout. Registrations submitted after the initial deadline will not be eligible for the family maximum; the full rate will apply for each player.)
Any registration submitted after the Regular Registration Deadline will be considered late and will be subject to a Late Fee, which will be added to the registration invoice through the Final Registration Deadline. Registrations submitted after the Final Registration Deadline will be subject to an additional Post-Registration Late Fee.
Late registration may impact team placement based on roster availability and the timing of the registration. Travel registrations will not be accepted after the Final Registration Deadline. Registration for any age group may also close earlier if the maximum roster size is reached.
Travel Uniforms (U10+)
All travel players must purchase a travel uniform before participating in any games. More details will be shared as we approach the ordering window. During that time, you’ll be able to order a uniform for the first time or reorder one if your child needs a different size or a replacement due to wear and tear. We recommend choosing a size that will last at least two years.
If your child did not participate in the Spring 2026 season, the league will assign their number.
If your child already has a travel uniform from the Fall 2026 season, there’s no need to purchase another unless a new size or replacement is needed. Uniforms from before the Fall 2024 season cannot be used.

If you miss the ordering window or register late, you’ll need to place a $75 deposit for a loaner jersey. Of that amount, $55 will be refunded when the jersey is returned in good condition.
In-House Uniforms
In-House uniforms are provided as part of normal registration fees. If needed, additional socks and shorts can be purchased by reaching out to info@stoughtonsoccer.org
